When buying vacant land, get a zoning check from your attorney. A
title search alone may miss problems like contiguous ownership.

Tip 2

When buying vacant land, get the building permit in hand. An
approved well and septic permit may satisfy the health department, but in
the end the building department makes the final decision whether or not to
grant you a building permit.
